I spent a majority of the day cutting mat board...80 pieces to be more exact. I am teaching a workshop, to a bunch of high schoolers, on how to mat and frame artwork.
Pittsburg State University's Art Department puts on a High School Art Day (HSAD) every semester. Hundreds of students from around the area come and learn about the department and different types of art. This year HSAD will be giving various workshops that are run by current PSU art students. My work shop will deal with the different ways of presenting artwork. Each student in my workshop will get to measure out and assemble their own window mat. It is a very simple way to display artwork and a skill every art student should know.
